Julie Muñiz is an independent curator and creative consultant living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. Focusing her practice on the intersecting the areas of art, design, and craft, Julie has worked with both institutional and private art collections on both coasts. Today, Julie lives and works in the San Francisco/Silicon Valley region where she contributes her experience, knowledge, and passion for arts and design to both public organizations and private collectors. She is particularly skilled in helping collectors and small institutions better understand and protect their collections and to help them formulate short and long-term plans for their art. She received her Masters of Arts from the Bard Graduate Center in New York and held positions of increasing responsibility at museums such as the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Oakland Museum of California.
