Heath Ceramics
Working closely with Heath Ceramics, Julie helped the company clarify their collecting objectives and envision the possibilities of the company’s historical footprint. To date, this on-going project has identified over 100 historical pieces in need of preservation, as well as realized the development of an online collection database available to Heath staff.
FUTURE PLANNING
In order for Heath to better understand their current archival holdings, I prepared collection plan and policy documents detailing the collection purpose, scope, and key priorities. These documents outlined the future framework of Heath’s collection of historical ceramics and company archives.
CURATION
Proper curation requires an eye for detail and meticulous documentation. After identifying over 100 historical pieces scattered throughout the company’s different factories and office locations, I began the meticulous task of cataloging, documenting, and preserving.
